Greetings! My name is Dykstra Freeman and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-BC (PMHNP-BC). I’ve been working within the mental health profession for nearly 20 years now but I have over 6 years of experience as a PMHNP-BC. I’m a proud father of 3 children and 1 pet dog (my fourth child). I obtained a Bachelors of Biology from NSULA, an Associate of Nursing from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady, a Bachelors of Nursing from NSULA, and a MSN from Walden University.
Your mental health matters to me and is the reason why I do what I do. I pride myself on being down to Earth and easy to converse with. I tend to talk a lot but I listen more than I speak. I like for my patients to feel respected, cared for, and empowered. I want my patients to feel free to ask questions and bring up the issues that are negatively impacting them.
