Yoomi Kwon

Yoomi Kwon is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-C) dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care.

With over 12 years of nursing experience, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in New York in 2016. After relocating to Dallas, Texas, she worked at Parkland Hospital for four years, providing comprehensive care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

Driven by her passion for mental health, Yoomi completed her Post-Master’s Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at the University of Texas at Tyler in 2024. She further advanced her training through a one-year Psychiatry Fellowship at JPS Health Network, gaining experience in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and consultation-liaison psychiatry.

Yoomi believes in a holistic, whole-person approach to care, focusing on treating the individual rather than just the diagnosis. She values collaborative, individualized treatment and strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered on their journey toward mental wellness.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, practicing Taekwondo, and being actively involved in her church community.
